Cash Buyer seeking a California Compounding Pharmacy

Targeted Acquisition for a California Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy:

A cash buyer, who owns a number of businesses including other pharmacies in other states, is targeting California for the next business expansion. Pharmacy Valuations is talking with pharmacy owners and Brokers to find the right California compounding pharmacy for this buyer.

If you are a pharmacy owner, or a Broker with pharmacy Listings, to determine buyer interest we will first be looking at the following initial criteria:

California Board of Pharmacy Permit

The pharmacy’s California BOP Permit – with no issues.

Compounding Pharmacy Facility

Requires minimum of 3,000 square feet and the ability to expand to 10,000 square feet.
Electrical requirements – 3-phase, 480 volt, minimum 300 amps and ability for up to 600-amp service.
Multiple rooms – as many as 8 office sized rooms, plus storage/warehouse space.
Deliveries – large truck access, loading dock or double door required – or a facility that is configured for this to be added.

Surrounding Area

Prefer a location in a professional or medical area.
Prefer a location within 1 hour of an airport (Buyer does not live in CA).
No interest in the L.A. area, San Diego, Silicon Valley, or Bay area.

Current Market Value

A pharmacy that has low net profits, or is struggling, would provide a price range that is more appealing to the buyer. Employment opportunities are available for seller and staff.

Cashflow, tax returns, and insurance contracts are not a concern at this stage.
No confidential information needs to be revealed unless the above criteria is met and it is determined
there should be forward movement.

After the initial criteria is met, the next step is lots of pictures. We would need pictures of all rooms inside the pharmacy, all sides of the exterior of the building, along with pictures of the space next door where the pharmacy will be expanded. Include pictures such as loading dock/door – or area where that could be installed, the compounding work stations, and equipment.

If you have a pharmacy that meets the above criteria and it has been difficult to sell due to the cashflow and low profitability, then contact me ASAP. This cash Buyer can close quick.
